Translated Lesson Resources

Technology Support
The In Focus lesson resources are available in multiple languages. The elementary lessons (PreK–6th) are currently offered in 5 languages: English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, and Chinese. The secondary lessons (JH and HS) are currently offered in English and Spanish.
Why have we translated In Focus lesson resources?
We include translated resources so dual-language immersion schools can use the resources seamlessly in their classrooms. We also include them so that multilingual students can learn these important skills while learning English. Teachers use the translated materials side by side with the English materials to introduce and reinforce language skills and acquisition.
How were the language options for In Focus lessons selected?
Language offerings were determined by the demographic profiles of schools currently implementing our curriculum, including dual-language immersion schools and those serving large multilingual student populations.
How were the In Focus lessons translated?
Our lesson resources are translated in partnership with native-speaking language experts to support accuracy, clarity, and cultural relevance.
What lesson resources are available in other languages?
The lesson plan is in English, with lesson assets offered in a range of languages. Lesson assets include student- and parent-facing materials, including lesson slides, handouts, and anchor charts. Our parent guides are currently offered in English and Spanish. To further support multilingual learners, we are developing audio recordings of the read-aloud books used in our lessons in each supported language.
